LCM Systems Ltd (United Kingdom) - Press Release: These ATEX/IECEx certified dual bridge load pins were manufactured for a customer that supplies crane monitoring and overload systems.
The load pins are rated to 3000klbf (1.4 tonnes) and are suitable for use in zone 1 and 2 hazardous areas. They also have two independent strain gauge bridges for added protection/assurance, as the load pin output can be immediately switched to the second bridge in the unlikely event of the first bridge failing.
The load pins were supplied with external SGA-D amplifiers to provide a 5 to 20mA output, that can either be sited in a Safe Area or in an Ex d (explosion proof) enclosure.
